Not only PSL 2020 is one of the biggest PSL edition in terms of its venues which is all Pakistani grounds and no money or revenue sharing to be done with any other cricket board where matches of previous PSL edition took place. SO PCB is also working to make it biggest PSL edition in term of prize money. Total prize money of PSL 2020 is USD 1 million as per the press release issued.
The team who will win the PSL 2020 edition will bag prize money of $500,000 along with the exclusive Pakistan Super League trophy. Runners-up will also get the handsome amount of $200,000 as the prize money.
Player of the match will get USD 4,500 in all the matches of PSL season 5. Whereas USD 80,000 already been set aside so that it can be distributed among the player of the tournament, best batsman, best bowler and Spirit of Cricket award.
PCB also facilitate players in all 34 matches with individual awards like best catch of the match, bets run out of the match, and most sixes hit during the match for which prize money is not yet disclosed.
It is pertinent to note that for the first time Pakistan super league on Pakistani soil and 34 matches will be played on 04 different venues in Lahore, Karachi, Multan and Rwalpindi.
Also to note that PCB is spending Rs 210 million on opening ceremony of PSL 2020 that will take place in Karachi just before the official start of the first match of PSL season 5 between defending champion Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United.
