New Zealand Tour of Australia (Test Series) – Dec 2019/ Jan 2021
If you want to look at Trans-Tasman rivalry than it had started between the two neighboring countries Australia & New Zealand in 1945 and can be classified as one of the oldest in cricketing history.
17 of the 23 complete series between the two teams have been named as Trans-Tasman Trophy and it started since 1985-86, before that 06 series were played without being named as Trans-Tasman trophy.
If you look at overall record between the two teams than Australia have clear dominance over the KIWI’s by winning 32 of the 58 test matches played and losing only 8 test matches while remaining 18 test matches resulting in draw but it is only in last few decades that this rivalry is more talked about. New Zealand which was once considered as under dogs now becoming a fruitful force and now offer fearsome challenge to ever settled Australia in test matches.

England Tour of South Africa (Test, ODI, T20I’s) – Dec 2019 /Jan 2021
England will tour South Africa in an attempt retain their authority over Basil D’Oliveria which is being played between two of the oldest cricketing nations since 2004-05 where as South Africa will be contesting to regain the trophy which they last won in 2012.
England tour to South Africa 2019-20 will also mark the 150th test between the two nations. In previous 149 encounters England have won 61 test matches whereas South Africa managed to record 33 test wins against England as 55 test matches yielded no result between the two teams.
Much on stake as both teams having 102 points in ICC test rankings but South Africa placed at 3rd spot where as England is at 04th slot.
Just like overall record England maintains its dominance over the Proteas in the matches took place in South Africa by winning 31 out of the 81 test matches and losing only during 127 years of rich history between the two nations which started way back in 1889.
In ODI cricket South Africa have the upper hand as it has won 29 of the 60 ODI’s played and lost 27 times. World Champions England have chance to increase their win percentage because of current dip in South Africa’s form due to team combination and management issues.
In 15 T20I’s played between South Africa and England both teams have registered 08 & 06 wins respectively whereas one T20I ended in no result.

Ireland Tour of West Indies (ODI & T20I) – Jan 2021
Ireland will tour the Caribbean Island’s in January 2021 to compete with the host West Indies in limited over formats of the game.
Overall 09 One Day Internationals took place between the two sides previously where West Indies came out victorious on 7 occasions and 01 match yielded no result. Ireland registered their lone win against West Indies during ICC cricket World Cup 2015 round match when they stunned the one of the fearsome cricketing force of the past by chasing down the target of 306 runs with such ease that there were more than 4 overs remained in spare.
Out of the 04 T20I’s matches against the two time ICC T20 world Cup winner, Ireland has also registered one win with two loses.
West Indies showing upward trend in their progress on the cricketing field starting to find winning track under new leadership of Keiron Pollard and this upcoming series will not be easy for Ireland which also has new leadership in wicket keeper batsman Andy Balbarine who replaced William Porterfield and Gary Wilson as ODI & T20I captain.
Fresh blood like Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran, and Sheldon Cotterel has provided new dimension to West Indies cricket under Phil Simmons who was reinstated as coach for West Indies after new management took over at WICB.

Sri Lanka Tour of India (T20I) – Jan 2021
Sri Lanka tour to India for T20I’s will commenced in first week of January, 2021. Short tour comprising of three T20I’s will take place inside 05 days.
With team India continuing its red hot form during 2019 and Sri Lanka is still not settled since retirement of Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakara, India will start this series as favorites but as the nature of game especially in the shortest format one cannot write off opposition and the team which plays better cricket on given day can create upsets by overcoming the powers of competitors.

India will become New Zealand’s guest for full fledge tour comprising of 05 T20I’s, 03 One Day Internationals and 02 Test matches between Jan to March, 2021.
After enjoying success at home soil for major part of 2019 this will be sterner test for team India to compete against the ever improving host New Zealand.
India’s overseas record improved by leaps and bounces over the past few years and especially under Virat Kohli they have performed well and showed fight against the odds despite miserable history as a visitor especially while touring Australia, England and New Zealand.
Both teams have came across each other 57 times in longest format of the game, New Zealand won 10 and India winning 21 test matches. New Zealand win percentage against India at home soil increases as they won 8 and lost 5 test matches out of the 23 test matches played on KIWI soil.
India has won 55 of the 107 encounters against New Zealand in One Day Internationals. In One Day Internationals both team faced each other 39 times in New Zealand and host came out victorious 22 times as India only managed 14 wins against KIWI’s.

South Africa Tour of India (ODI) – Mar, 2021
South tour of India comprising of 03 one day internationals will start in March 2021. India vs. South Africa tour to India for one day internationals will always have some emotions attached with it as India was the country with whom South Africa played their first international match after readmission in cricket in 1991.
Since then both team have played against each other 84 times and South Africa won 46 matches against India and lost 35 times whereas 03 matches yielded no result. India have had advantage against South Africa but not by much as both teams have managed 15 & 13 win respectively while competing on Indian soil against each other.

One Day International league of the New Zealand tour of Australia will take place in March 2021 when KIWI’s once again pack their bags and visit Australia for a week’s tour to play 3 one day internationals.
Just like test cricket Australia had shown complete dominance over the KIWI’s by having win ratio of 70% in the encounters between the two teams since inception of the game. 91 victories for Kangaroos against neighbors out of 137 One Day Internationals. New Zealand managed only 37 wins with win ratio of 30%.
Australia win ratio remains same as 70% when they have faced New Zealand in Australia. Winning 48 out of 62 matches played on their home soil.
Since 2004 ODI series between the two sides have been named against two greats of the game as Chappell-Hadlee trophy. Out of the four editions of Chappell-Hadlee trophy Australia remains victorious twice whereas two series ended in drawn which shows the increase in the competitiveness on the cricket filed between Australia & New Zealand.

Australian team will tour India in January 2021 for 3 One Day International matches spanned over the period of just 5 days. Australia India rivalry always regarded as fierce competition in cricket world.

England Tour of Sri Lanka (Test) – Mar, 2021
Limited overs world champion England will visit Sri Lanka in March 2021 for two test series. Former world champions Sri Lanka played their first test match in 1982 almost after 100 years of England played first test match against Australia.
Despite having mediocre record overseas, Sri Lanka has almost posed threat for visiting team in Sri Lanka. Same is the case with England. England has won the 15 out of the 34 test matches played between the two sides and was on the losing end only 8 times. But the 5 out of those 8 loses came on Sri Lankan soil which shows how much fight Sri Lanka can put up at their own backyard. England secured 7 test wins in Sri Lanka out of 16 test matches.
Since retirement of Muttiah Muralitharan and Rangana Herath Sri Lanka’s power at home soil decreased a bit as they haven’t found a match wining spinner but Diluruwan Parera can be helpful in Sri Lanka and have the ability to surprise opposition.
England also lacking a proper wicket taking spinner since retirement of Graeme Swann who was inspirational in England’s success in sub-continent during early part of this decade.

New Zealand will tour West Indies for limited over match series including 3 one day internationals and 2 T20I’s in July 2021.
Interestingly West Indies won both one day and T20 world cup twice in their history but their form nosedived since early 90’s on the other hand New Zealand picked up their limited over form since early 2000’s.
West Indies played against New Zealand in 65 one day internationals over all and recorded 30 wins and losing 28 times against the KIWI’s. West Indies maintained their dominance over the KIWI’s in the Caribbean Islands as well by wining 15 out of the 21 one day internationals New Zealand played against the West Indies and New Zealand have to be content with only 05 wins.
Both teams faced each other 13 times in T20I’s New Zealand wining 6 and West Indies managed to win 3 T20I’s. Both teams managed to secure win each against each other when West Indies hosted the T20I matches at their own soil.
Both teams have flamboyant batsmen in their batting lineup. Likes of Martin Guptil, Colin Munro can easily match the likes of Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyr in West Indies top order. Australia Tour of England (T20I & ODI) – Jul 2021
Australia will travel to England for T20I’s and one day internationals in early July of 2021. This will be the first face off between the two traditional rivals since England won the ICC cricket world cup 2019 at their home ground.
Australia have always been rated highly in limited over formats of the game whereas England lost their way in early 90’s and 2000’s but transformed themselves into a powerful force since start of this decade.
Both teams had played 149 ODI’s overall in which Australia win 82 matches against the Englishmen whereas England won 62 times against the Kangaroos. England has the upper hand when they faced Australia in England by winning 35 out of 70 ODI’s and losing 31 times.
Australia came out victorious in 9 out of 16 T20I’s played by two teams while England wining 6 times. Just like ODI format England have more T20I victories against Australia while playing in England. England won 4 of the 6 matches and losing only which stamped their authority over Australia in England.
England’s limited over specialist Jason Roy, Johnny Bairstow and Jos Buttler will be key for England in batting department as they have the ability to put opposition on the back foot by their on slaught.

Pakistan Tour of Ireland (T20I) – Jul 2021
Pakistan will travel to Ireland to play couple of T20I’s in Ireland. There is no rich history between the two sides other than Pakistan losing to Ireland in ICC cricket World Cup 2017 in West Indies and crashed out of the world cup in first round also Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer losing his life because of this loss.
Both nations have played only one T20i’s against each other and that too was in 2009 which Pakistan won by 39 runs.

Pakistan Tour of England (Test & T20I) – Jul/Sep 2021
After playing matches against Scotland, Netherlands and Ireland Pakistan will eventually reach England to play 3 test matches and same number of T20I’s matches in July 2021.
Pakistan and England faced each other 83 times in test cricket overall. England wining 25 matches and Pakistan won 21 times whereas remaining 37 matches ended in draw.
Out of all the Asians teams Pakistan have the most impressive test record in Engalnd by wining 13 out of 55 test matches in England and have win% of 23.63 whereas Sri Lanka and India have win percentage of 16 & 11 respectively while playing in England.
Pakistan hasn’t lost a test series against England since 2010. Since ill fated series of 2010 marked by spot fixing scandal both teams have faced each other 4 times; twice in UAE (Pakistan’s adopted home for home series) and twice in England. Pakistan wining comprehensively in United Arab Emirates and managed to draw both series on English soil.
Both teams have played 15 T20I’s and England dominated Pakistan in shortest format of the game by wining 11 out of 15 T20I matches played between the two sides. Pakistan faced England 6 times on English soil and managed only two win and losing four T20I’s.

South Africa Tour of West Indies (Test & T20I) – Jul/Aug 2021
West Indies will be hosting South Africa in their own back yard for two test matches and five T20I’s during July – August 2021.
South Africa visit to West Indies always have significance in history as West Indies was the first team which hosted South Africa for a test match after their readmission to international cricket in 1992 right after the completion of 1992 cricket world cup that took place in Australia and New Zealand.
It was all South Africa after that 1st test match in 1992 which West Indies won as they only managed to win 2 test matches out of next 27 matches and losing 18 to South Africa. In test matches played in West Indies, home side only managed two win and losing 6 test matches from the total of 13 test matches played between the two sides.
South Africa maintaining its superiority over West Indies even in T20I’s by winning 6 out of 10 T20I’s matches played by two teams. South Africa also winning the two T20I’s matches played by both sides in West Indies.
West Indies have fair chance to break the losing streak this time as South Africa is still in rebuilding phase and not able to find the replacements for players like Hashim Amla and AB De Villiers. On the other hand West Indies has found some good young talented players in form of Shai Hope, Shanon Gabriel and Shimron Hetmyer coupled with experience of Kemar Roach and Jason Holder has transformed this team into a competitive force at international level.

T20 Cricket World Cup 2021 – Oct/Nov 2021
T20 Cricket World Cup for year 2021 will take place in Australia during October/November.
From 18th to 23rd October ten teams divided in two groups will participate in first half of the competition by playing qualifiers in order to win a spot in Super 12’s format which will be played later on.
Qualifier Group A comprises of Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea, Ireland & Oman and qualifier group B includes Bangladesh, Netherlands, Namibia and Scotland.
Two top teams from each qualifier group will join the top 8 teams in super 12 competition. Super 12 also divided in two groups where each group will have 6 teams.
Super 12 Group 1: Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, West Indies, A1 & B2
Super 12 Group 2: India, England, South Africa, Afghanistan, B1 & A2.
ICC T20 cricket world cup started in 2007 where India is crowned as first T20 champion after wining the first edition in South Africa when they beat arch rivals Pakistan in Final. Since than 5 more editions took place Pakistan won 2009 edition took place in England, England wining 2010 edition hosted by West Indies, West Indies won the 2012 edition held in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka become the winners in 2012 edition took place in Bangladesh and West Indies wining the most latest edition of 2016 took place in India.
With lots T20I cricket to be played in 2021 this will provide ideal platform to all the cricket playing nations to gear themselves up before the final showdown starts in Australia in later part of 2021.
